What was our inspiration behind this new design? Our new Limited Edition design is inspired by the palmchat (Cigua Palmera), or as we named this design, La Cigua Platanera, which is the national bird 🦜of the Dominican Republic. Of course we added platanos and their leaves because they are a staple of Caribbean dishes. The palmchat birds can be found widespread on the island of Hispaniola. Its name reflects its strong association with palms for feeding, roosting, and nesting. The bird is approximately 8 inches in length. The palmchats plumage is olive-green with cream-buff bodily streaked brown underparts, hence why we chose to make the collar and background of the shirt two color tones. We also added a customized label with the name of this design at the bottom of the shirt, something we've never done before!
